This composite part has a GFP (BBa_E0040) under the control of the ydfJ115 promoter (BBa_K3425130). PydfJ115 is upregulated when the B. subtilis ydfH-ydfI two-component system is activated, which results in a visual color change due to the triggered GFP expression.
